  • Given responsibility as site manager for geothermal power plant project, with the project objectives are: to obtain high quality soil and rock coring by using “Slim Core Pack Tube ϕ86 and ϕ66mm”, to conduct several in-situ tests, to install the geotechnical instrumentation and to perform the geotechnical monitoring works • Managing geotechnical investigation works on site and off site in accordance with contract specifications and client’s requests within schedule and budget • Liaise and coordinate works with client’s representatives, HSE division, headquarter teams, technicians, subcontractors and drillers / operators • Attend meeting with client’s representatives regarding technical subject and prepare the progress report • In charge in evaluating and interpreting in-situ tests results e.g.: SPT, CPT, Vane Shear Tests, CBR Tests, Plate Load Tests, Pressuremeter Tests and Permeability Tests • In charge in prior checking, operating of the dilatometer equipment and providing the interpretation of the DMT results • Direct supervision of geotechnical instrumentation installation, monitoring works and provide monitoring reports e.g.: inclinometers and water standpipes • Responsible for selecting the method of soil samplings, assigning soil laboratory testing, coordinate works with laboratory’s teams, evaluating and interpreting the laboratory tests results • Responsible for preparing Geotechnical Investigation Report which includes: 1. Factual reports 2. Discussion of the ground conditions e.g.: stratigraphy of the subsoil, engineering properties of the subsoil (index, shear strength, consolidation, deformation and swelling properties) and groundwater condition 3. Providing foundation recommendations (perform shallow footing and pile foundation bearing capacity analysis), discussion of the settlement, ground classification and liquefaction potential 4.
