I teach courses on environmental geography, the geography of Latin America, and the geography of coffee. I also bring geography programs directly to primary and secondary schools, and help both future and in-service teachers develop their geography-teaching skills. Most importantly, I help to connect students of geography -- both majors and those taking just a course or two -- to the world of ideas and possibilities that is modern geography. I started in MIS as in-house software support and then moved to marketing, with a focus on domestic and international marketing of combat rations for recreational, survival, humanitarian, and military uses. I spent the last year reporting to the president on a wide array of research projects.
