Bio
Luisa Marval, MSc, PMP
I worked with Jenna in her role as the Associate Director, Science Strategy at the Institute of Gender and Health at CIHR. She was the Strategic Lead on the National Women's Health Research Initiative, a $20 million dollar, multi-year federal research and knowledge mobilization initiative. In a highly politicized environment, Jenna was able to effectively communicate the vision and strategy for the initiative and its funding opportunities, and get multiple federal stakeholders on board. She is an excellent colleague, who takes an inclusive management approach and values the opinions of the entire team, making her a true leader in the field. Overall her inclusive approach and effective management skills resulted in better organizational outcomes, and innovative research programs for Canadians.
