  In my first years of writing as a critic in 2012, I noticed a serious lack of knowledge transfer between senior and junior theatre and film critics in North Macedonia. This motivated me to co-found Gledaj.mkc.mk (the only online platform for theatre and film criticism in North Macedonia) with two specific goals in mind: a) providing support to independent young critics through monthly workshops and b) continuously educating and informing the Macedonian public about the latest events in the theatre and film sector. Some of the milestones include securing institutional support, publishing our work in major print publications in North Macedonia and getting elected as a jury member for the Best Film Critic contest at the European Film Festival Cinedays 2018. The training was part of the project “Road to the Future” which was designed to encourage and strengthen European-oriented youth participation for a specific democratic milestone, the European Parliament Elections 2019 and in the longer term for the future of Europe. The “Road to the Future” project was a joint partnership among 14 partner organizations and networks, from all across Europe, built in two phases: the lead-up to the European Parliament elections 2019 and their follow-up. The training in Struga happened during the first phase of the project, where more than 40 young activists, youth leaders, young youth workers across the partnership network went through a capacity building process of which the final outcome was organising local inclusive events, activities and debates focusing on the participation of young voters in the European elections 2019.
