As pioneer Podcast producer for Channels Television, Nigeria's leading broadcaster, I am steering the launch of Nigeria's first bespoke podcast by a major broadcaster. I will also be curating the launch of the Channels Podcast Unit, which will also be the first podcast unit within a major Nigerian broadcast organisation. Using the power of audio, my team and i will be curating impactful podcasts targeted at development issues and raising the voices of society's marginalised. As a journalist with podium.me, a London based youth-centred podcast platform, I will be working with colleagues to report the stories that matter to young people 25 and younger, while also empowering them with practical skills to tell their own stories and make their voices heard using podcasting, a democratised form of broadcasting. At Podium, we are the voice of the under 25, a voice that the mainstream media has consistently left out. I also work to maintain clear lines of communications with the publics of the Bonny local Government council which plays host to the highest number of oil and gas multinationals in any geographical region of Nigeria, this includes the Shell petroluem Development company, SPDC which has it's historic oil export terminal in Bonny, the Mobil gas export terminal and Nigeria's most successful indigenous company, the Nigerian Liquified Natural gas limited, NLNG, amongst others.
