  Recent Experience Includes:- Successfully defended a claim brought under the Family Compensation Act by a widow of a skier who died skiing in the backcountry against his “ski buddy” alleging a novel theory of negligence. This case was multi-jurisdictional, involving parties and experts from the US and the UK. - Represented a Montreal technology company in obtaining an injunction to enforce a restrictive covenant against a former employee.- Represents an international retail company in a dispute with a former employee over trade secrets; prepared and was successful in obtaining a Mareva injunction against ex-employee.- Appeared in the Court of Appeal on a matter relating to the proper interpretation of a trust agreement.- Conducted successful arbitration on behalf of a manufacturing client in a contractual dispute with a customer. - Represented a Canadian company being sued in the US over a contract dispute.- Advise US clients on cross border disputes including questions of jurisdiction, legal process, and interpretation of contracts.- Represents a large retailer in defending against injuries suffered by individuals while on the premises. - Represent a large energy company in contaminated site claims under the Environmental Management Act.- Represented a large real estate company in commercial disputes with franchisees.-Represents a large development and construction company in various contractual and other construction disputes.- Co-Chair of Lawson Lundell's Cross-Border Initiative
