The Registrar of Voters hires a variety of poll workers to help conduct elections. I applied after seeing there would possibly be a shortage in my county, and was subsequently hired and trained as an On-Call Intake Specialist. However, I was asked to fill a Greeter position when some poll workers dropped out. Responsibilities: Manage and direct the incoming flow of voters. Work with managers and intake specialists to solve voter issues. Conduct temperature checks, accommodate disabled voters, and temporarily take on other roles during coworker's breaks. Enforce laws and protect rights related to voting and voters. Help create and maintain a calm, safe and welcoming atmosphere for all voters. Aid in the breakdown and setup of the polling location. Time Period: I worked thirteen of the fourteen consecutive days of early voting from 10/17/2020 to 10/30/2020. Each workday was 10-12 hours long. Additionally, I spent approximately 6 hours in online and in-person training, as well as 2 hours helping set-up the polling location.

Attend weekly staff meetings, monthly inventory, and seasonal cocktail batching and labs. Be available to come in during an unexpected rush, or to pick up ingredients the bar has run out of.
