As part of the long term strategy of the business, the Managing Director who specialises in SEO and marketing wishes to move away from the day to day operations.   Due to continued business growth, I was appointed as the Production Manager. In this new role, I was responsible for over £1.5m of purchasing, liaising with suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring all orders were processed and delivered on-time. In addition, I worked hand in hand with the sales department in relation to bespoke quotes and international sourcing. During this period I also became fully trained in the use of photoshop and illustrator after a period of personal tuition, which enhanced my role so that I could support our graphic design department.
