I was delivering training programmes to the new opening store staff. I developed the team in their Leeds store leading to the successful opening of the first store in the Leeds region whilst supporting and occasionally training the store managers in beginning weeks of training and opening. Then held a key role in the opening by leading shifts and maintaining high standards whilst keeping staff moral high under the high pressure situation. This was a big even for the company, with the first customers queuing many hours before the opening whilst queues continued all day. Quite a spectacle! This mean I had to stick to tight timeframes, very long hours, manage rotas, keep moral high and track staffs progress throughout the training programme. Whilst working alongside the head of training, and both operations managers for the UK and Europe in order to have fluid communication, achieve all targets and have an ultimately successful opening.
