I managed a Light the Night event at the Gold Coast, which is a lantern walk to support those affected by blood cancer. Before the walk there was entertainment and speakers and a lantern raising ceremony. I was my only team member at this event. I managed every aspect including, volunteers, registration, suppliers, set up and pack down, the running of the event and critically analyzing the event to prepare an evaluation for my team leader. Before the event I sourced speakers, an MC and food vans. I developed a run sheet for the day and briefs for volunteers and working to budget. The event was a huge success raising nearly $20,000. Recruited and stewarded bar tenders to take part in the campaign U.G.L.Y Bartender in North Brisbane through face to face, phone and email. I had 50 Bar tenders on board who raised over $50,000. Recruiting Business’ and Schools to take part in the World’s Greatest Shave which is taking place in March 2020. This is through face to face, phone and email. I have developed a strategy and constantly monitoring it to make sure I am on track. Organising public shave events in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, including sourcing and locking in venues, suppliers and working to a budget. Show less

Two of these cold business’s decided to support the campaign. • Providing outstanding stewardship to around 170 supporters a year, through phone, email and in person. Fundraising & Events Coordinator

Nov 2016 - May 2017
• I coordinated the ‘Sweetheart Day Campaign’, a national campaign and in Queensland raising nearly $50,000. This was more than double what was raised the previous year. This campaign had two components, community fundraising and on street activation, where merchandise was sold, and donations collected in Brisbane City. My role in the campaign was to recruit and manage 70 volunteers for the event day. I distributed merchandise and tins to 8 locations, created an event day schedule, volunteer rota, a brief for staff and volunteers, managed the event on the day and conduced an evaluation. In regard to the community fundraising component, I stewarded fundraisers through their supporters journey. • I coordinated the HeartKids Noosa Triathlon Team which consisted of 70 team members and raised nearly $100,000 which was $25,000 over the target. My role included recruiting team members, stewardship, motivating them to fundraise, importing data into Etapestry order triathlon suits, organized events happening throughout the weekend including a stall at the expo, a BBQ to raise funds, a post event and a cheer point for the team. • I coordinated a bespoke event called ‘Two Feet and a Heartbeat’. The success of the event helped to expand it the following year where it took place in 8 locations in Queensland and raised $70,000. It has since grown to a national event. My role in the event included recruiting supporters through a variety of channels, stewardship, liaising with merchandise suppliers, Everyday Hero and Vendors. I also distributed merchandise and supplies to the other 7 locations, volunteer recruitment and management, on the day coordination, finding ambassadors for each location, writing their stories and importing data into the database. • I was the ‘Superuser’ for the database Etapestry and trained staff nationally on the system including creating queries, importing data and running reports.
