Graduate Drama Intern and Boarding housemistress
-
Sep 2015 - Jul 2016
I was employed by Sidcot to assist and teach children aged 11-18 in their drama lessons. I was responsible for directing and choreographing movement for the school productions, after school drama clubs along with productions outside of school. Whilst predominately working in the drama department I worked at the all-girls boarding house. This position required me to be on duty in the boarding house three times a week to act as the ‘supervisor’ or ‘guardian’. The boarding house was made up of all international girls so it was important to make them feel safe and comfortable. When on duty, I was responsible for organising the weekend activities and trips, supervising their studies on a Saturday as well as being in charge of the travel arrangements when we had a school holiday. During the exam period at Sidcot, I went on a training course to act as a reader and scribe to SEN pupils during their examinations. Show less
