      RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: I. Public Services Provides legal reference service to the University community and the general public with a particular emphasis on law student and law faculty research support. Assists students, faculty and staff in the use of a full range of research tools including computer-assisted legal research and other educational technologies. Technical Services Checks in, labels and shelves bound continuations, processes Government Document material, performs database maintenance as assigned, processes claims for electronic material. Retrieves and files loose-leaf titles as assigned, other shelving when needed. Assists with the planning of stack maintenance projects. Assigns work to a student worker on a project basis. Performs in-house binding and repair work. Maintains the library’s LibGuides and specific webpages, including updating the Law Library Manual and the Government Documents LibGuide. Maintains the Law Library’s social media presence, including the Library’s Twitter and Facebook accounts. Continually trains library staff on creating and maintaining LibGuides and the use of the Library’s social media, as trends and software change. Participated in the ILS search for the three campus libraries. Checks in all serials titles in Almas. Claims missing serials including periodicals and loose-leaf material from various vendors. Shelves first issue of all new serials titles which includes creating or updating book dummies for periodical titles; processes and shelves supplements and new binders. Show less
