I can't say enough about the professionalism and integrity of Jessica. I have worked with her on several different projects and she always comes to the table with fresh ideas and is willing to do the work until the project is done.

As a leader, Jessica is a true stand out. I had the opportunity to see Jessica in action in her role as Executive Director of the Lead Chamber of Commerce. She brought a marketing focus and excitement to the Lead community and did excellent work managing the Lead Chamber's social media platforms. More than a few times, I shared their Instagram account as an example of best practices. I also admired how Jessica was an active participant in the 2018 SD CEO Women In Leadership class and the great ideas she shared during her involvement with our conference planning team. Her insight is thoughtful and on point. Jessica would be a top choice for any marketing, social media or leadership position.

I’m thrilled at the prospect of stepping into this role during what I believe is an exciting time for Lead. Despite Lead’s ever-increasing profile, our little pocket of the Black Hills remains something of an undiscovered gem, with more to offer locals and visitors than most residents may realize. Lead’s quintessential creative verve and little-mountain-town vigor place it among the most inspiring places I have ever hung my hat (which is a snapback, of course). I was drawn here by trails and mountain, and kept here by the cool, authentic culture and energetic, supportive community. My career has been marked by one great adventure after the next, while none have been as exciting as the opportunity to promote business development and visibility; all the while fostering community involvement here at the Lead Area Chamber of Commerce. I am so excited to join this ever-growing community of like-minded, motivated professionals who are ready to hustle and build businesses they love. We are the entrepreneurs, non-profit leaders, the story-tellers, the designers, the mechanics, and the people that shape and make our community great. And community is powerful. My mission is simple: to help you do yours. Together, we will go miles beyond ordinary. I cannot wait to connect with you at our next chamber mixer or awesome event. In the meantime, feel free to shoot me an email at Jessica@leadmethere.org and introduce your amazing self – I’d love to hear from you!

I am born event planner & high-fiving fundraising girl on a mission to rally supporters for our Clubs. As a young professional in the Black Hills Area, I strive to build lasting connections and networks through a shared interest. I believe the betterment of our community starts with giving back and creating passion in everything we do. I enjoy advocating for kids and developing and maintaining fulfilling, meaningful relationships with hundreds of donors, volunteers & board members. I love a good party, in fact, I put on 10 stewardship & fundraising shindigs in support of the Clubs. When it comes to fundraising and stewardship, I believe that gratitude is part of the asking, the key to donor loyalty is becoming your supporter's biggest fan, and that creativity and personality is the best way to make your organization stand out.At the Clubs, I implemented comprehensive fundraising and development strategies to increase donor engagement and achieve fundraising goals. I did this through the Clubs' annual campaigns, special events, appeals & face-to-face solicitations, grant writing, marketing, social media, cultivation, and stewardship. I worked alongside Unit Directors to help create innovative and inclusive programming for youth. As well as provided administrative support functions to the Executive Director, Board of Directors and three volunteer resource development committees in the communities of Hill City, Lead-Deadwood and Hot Springs. I am passionate about this work and am proud to have served our Club members and communities throughout the Black Hills. I love building community and helping create better futures for kids in the Black Hills. HERE'S WHAT I DID+ Event Management - Once I hosted two HUGE events in one day! + Marketing & Communications - Graphic Design, Social Media, Email Marketing, Press Releases, Public Relations, Networking, Website Development + Fundraising & Development + Public Speaking + Organizational Change+ Grant Writing
