  At the start of the 2023 school year, I moved into an inclusion teaching position, which allows me to go into general education classroom and provide support to identified students. I work closely with teachers to ensure all students have equitable access to the curriculum. I am the lead special education teacher at my school, which has provided me opportunities to learn how to be an effective leader. In this role, I am responsible for ensuring compliance in documentation for all special education students in the school, acting as a liaison between the school and the Office of Exceptional Children, and assisting in training staff on policies and procedures. From 2019-2022, I taught in a self-contained special education classroom for students that have been diagnosed with Autism. I provided differentiated instruction and ensured the appropriate accommodations and modifications were in place to give my students the support they need.
