I support a small yet busy marketing department. We are responsible for acquiring new customers via door to door sales, direct mail campaigns, referral programs and attending promotional events. I also ensure that our local website is current and respond to any online inquiries. I also support the Municipal Sales Manager, together we work to support city managers and acquire new contracted city accounts.

This was a great opportunity to travel to offices across the country. I spent 2 - 3 months in each area: Scottsdale, Boston, Jackson, Mobile, and San Francisco. While I was at each office I lead training courses and worked on the technical side of converting account information to the new program.

Group, Hotline, Office, Special event and T? manager. There are very few jobs that one can walk away from and say "My career track started on top of the Frightanic Giant Slide". It was working in the hospitality industry that really prepared me for a career in Customer Service. The hospitality industry couldn't survive without it's customer driven service standards and that mentality has followed me through my career. I also had my first exposure to the inner workings of some very creative marketing techniques and knew that I was interested in pursuing that knowledge. Show less

Sneaks Peeks Photographer / Supervisor

While some may recognize this position as "those obnoxious front gate photographers", I know it as a fantastic foray into sales and leadership. Encouraging park guests to delay their rollercoaster ride took patience and persuasion. Once the photo was taken, my sales skills were put to the test. I learned to listen to the guests and ensure I offered a product they were interested in. This allowed them to purchase without feeling pressured or buyer's regret. I also took on a leadership role; coaching approximately 20 team members on photography and sales techniques. I maintained appropriate staffing to cover our busiest shifts, set attainable goals that assured the departments success and wrote reviews that celebrated successes yet coached for improvement where needed.
