I ensured they were attending their classes and reached out to them when they began missing classes to ensure they were able to get caught up. I registered students for classes when the new semester began and maintained contact with students throughout the semester to help address any questions or concerns they may have had. I worked as part of a team with the other departments, such as financial aid, registrar's office and business office to make sure the student's experience was positive. I also acted as a liaison between students and instructors when conflicts arose to ensure both parties were heard and understood. I provided a calm and open demeanor for students so they can feel understood and valued. Contact Center Level II Representative April 2021-July 2021 As a Contact Center Level II Representative, I became a floor leader and maintained more responsibility, such as reaching out to students through other methods (texting and emailing) and updating department statistics throughout the day. I also was available for other representatives who needed assistance during their shifts. Contact Center Level I Representative September 2020-March 2021 As a contact center representative, I maintained a telephone system with outbound and inbound phone calls. I reached out to prospective students who have expressed interested in attending and helped get them connected with the admissions department. For new online students, I assist with a learning tool referred to as "walk-ins," where I called the student and walked them through their online course, such as layout and weekly requirements so they are better prepared. I also assisted our campuses by helping with an after hours service, where I talk to prospective campus students after the campus has closed to give them more information and help them make an appointment to tour the campus. I assisted the child life specialists with providing play opportunities to children both at the bedside and in the playroom. I ensured I provided children with age appropriate activities that furthered their development. I also assisted parents and caregivers by giving them breaks while they stayed with their hospitalized child. I planned and implemented group activities for the school-aged playroom patients and for teen group. For the playroom activity, I provided the necessary supplies to create a stethoscope out of a hand band, ribbon and felt. The children enjoyed this activity and I saw them many times afterwards using the stethoscope on their teddy bears and baby dolls! For the teen group, I planned an activity for the upcoming holiday of July 4th. When gathering ideas for what to do for my teen group, I heard some of the adolescents discussing how they were sad they wouldn't be able to see fireworks for the 4th of July holiday due to their hospitalization. Using salt, water, black construction paper and water color paint, we created our own fireworks! The teens had a lot of fun creating their fireworks and also seeing what fireworks their peers made as well! Show less
