The Storehouse is a fantastic resource to us at PRC, and Jessica has done an incredible job of not only managing but also growing this service. Every non-profit should consider membership!

Procure large scale donations Effortless Corporate Donations Redistribute Donations Maximize Impact on Poverty in the Community Tax Benefits Help Businesses Give Back Support Schools and Educators by providing large scale supplies/resources Sustainable Housing supplies Support Workforce Development Nonprofits and schools often find themselves on the receiving end of in-kind donations for which they have little use or limited space to store. Businesses often find themselves with overstock or discontinued product that need to be removed from inventory either by donation or by dumping. The StoreHouse is a local connector of resources which receives, sorts, and distributes millions of dollars’ worth of new donated goods to West Michigan nonprofits and Low income Michigan schools. By connecting resources, the impact is exponential on nonprofits by reducing their costs and maximizing their results, while creating an easy and effective way for businesses to make in-kind donations. We recently updated our inventory system in order to receive and distribute goods quickly and to be able to purchase skids of goods that match our clients’ needs. Weekly, we have multiple opportunities to receive more shipments of items that can be used by area nonprofits and schools, but often our shelves are full, and we must turn down the opportunity. Currently, product sits on shelves for two months until it can be fully dispersed. Nonprofits and schools have need for the products we have, but unfortunately, The StoreHouse is largely unknown and underutilized. The more we get individuals and businesses sharing about this resource, the more we can collectively impact West Michigan Communities and beyond. Show less

I taught first, second, and third grades at three different grade schools. My husband schooling and job moved us around often which caused me to have to change employment. I quit teaching after I started a family. Now that my kids are all in school my heart is to have a greater impact on education as a whole through directing a new non-profit. This new non-profit has the ability to impact hundreds of local schools. I taught first, second, and third grades at three different grade schools.
