Bio
Bobbie Allsop
I first met Jess while studying Games Design and Art at university. Her attention to detail and strong work ethic were evident, and she earned the highest degree score in our class. When I needed someone to cover my maternity leave at Mangahigh, Jess immediately came to mind as the most dedicated individual I knew. I asked her to join the team and she quickly took on a leadership role, running her own projects and guiding the overall design direction. One of the things I admire most about Jess is her thorough research. Her work is well-presented and thoughtfully considered, providing a solid foundation for the projects she works on. This approach allows other designers and product owners to understand the vision, design compromises, and reasoning behind various solutions. Jess is also a great team player, always making sure everyone feels included and checking in on her team members to see if they need support. She takes the time to remember everyone's birthdays and sends a message to wish them a happy day. Jess's hard work and dedication make her an ideal colleague and a pleasure to work with. She is a valuable asset to the team and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her.

Games Jam Volunteer
-
Sep 2017 - Sep 2017
I volunteered at a Games Jam run by Glasgow Caledonian University and LifeLab Southampton to help with providing data for a research project including a game to support healthier lifestyles for young adults. My key responsibilities were talking to the participants and helping them explore and build their character/superhero persona to see what makes their age group want to play games and lead a healthier lifestyle. It was a great experience to work with such creative minds and see games from a new perspective. Show less

Jan 2016 - Jan 2016
I took part in a two week project for NATS. The brief was to educate the public about who NATS are, what they do and the problems they face daily. The idea being to help the public understand the decisions that NATS make in order to try and keep everyone happy due to the number of complaints they recieve daily. In a small team of three, I had to design and produce concepts for an interactive, gaming experience to create a fun yet informative way to convey NATS's message across to the public. Show less

Worked alongside a small team for three days where I was set tasks to research textures, colours and images as part of designing concepts for the renovation of one of Heathrow Terminal 5's restaurants. I also gained knowledge in the importance of Colour Schemes and Mood Boards in order to make sure that the whole team understand the set deliverables. I also was able to practise my Adobe Photoshop skills on this project.
