Project Description Swarm is the new show for the Leeds based theatre company ‘Riptide’. Funded by Arts Council England and created in collaboration with major institutions in Leeds, such as the University of Leeds, Northern School of Contemporary Dance, and Leeds College of Art, is an environmental and contemporary performance inspired by the club-like, hedonistic Bohemia of La Belle Époque. Project description +The Wait for the Midnight Thirteen' is the new short film from production company, Decantillon Films, which they are hoping will bring funding to allow them to make it into a feature length production. Set in the 1950s, the preduction makes use of the Embasy Abbey Steam Railway station, which has been restored as closely as possible to its original architecture. My role was to make this station as accurate to the period we were depicting, as possible. Key Contributions +I made note of all modern additions to the station, which would then need covering/hiding + I sourced props and material for the shoot, from original 1950s travel posters, to electrical oil lamps. These all had to appear period appropriate, and yet still function for a modern day film production + I designed and built any covering apparatus' that would hide those objects that could not be hidden or removed. + I set dressed the space Show less
