Isentia is an award-winning provider of media monitoring and media intelligence services across the Asia Pacific region. Isentia harvests published news media and user-generated content from print, broadcast, online and social media channels, and then delivers carefully tailored, up to the minute content streams to clients based on their specific interests - whether it’s front page newspaper articles about government policy, or tweets from across the globe in reaction to a product launch. In this role I was highly trained to write complex and intuitive Boolean keyword search strings that matched the client to the right content as swiftly as possible, using a variety of Boolean language platforms and syntaxes. - Consistently rated a top 3 performer in a team of 30, which was spread across 8 cities in 5 countries. The Random House publishing group merged with Penguin Books in 2013. Penguin Random House is the world’s largest book publishing group, collaborating with some of the most successful authors of all time. The RHA Product department is responsible for managing the distribution of titles published by international Random House Groups into the Australian market.In this role I was responsible for managing the purchasing decisions and stock holdings for a wide roster of authors, including Dan Brown, Lee Child and Bill Bryson. These purchasing decisions were required at time intervals varying from months in advance of publication, to weekly reprints based on close hourly/daily monitoring of fast-selling titles.- Conducted extensive research, into both sales histories/projections and cultural relevance, for thousands of individual titles in order to provide accurate purchasing recommendations.- Consistently pursued new sales opportunities for both debut and established authors, and regularly pitched my recommendations to the sales and executive teams. - Liaised with multiple foreign offices and hosted international sales directors in the pursuit of negotiating and planning purchasing decisions.- Managed database information for all titles published or distributed by RHA for the length of the product’s life cycle, and was responsible for the organisation and creation of the monthly order form for selling in titles across Australia.- Worked closely with our production, warehousing and logistics departments in managing the timely printing and delivery of titles.
