CENTRINNO is a research project focused on industrial historical sites under transformation. It will showcase the potential of these cultural landscapes to become new and inclusive hubs of entrepreneurship for city residents while fostering sustainability. The CENTRINNO network will comprise the local Fab City Hub networks and activities with an approach driven by social inclusion and communing of resources. Funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 programme, POP-MACHINA is a project born from the idea to demonstrate the potential and relevancy of both the maker movement and collaborative production to progressively implement a necessary circular economy model at the European scale. Engaging various organisations and communities across 7 different countries within the next 4 years, the objective of POP-MACHINA is to enhance, support and monitor Circular Maker Communities in these 7 pilot areas.

    • Project Manager at Fab City Hub
      • Oct 2019 - Jul 2020

Fab City Hub is the physical manifestation of the ideas and values of Fab Cities. Our team represents this vision and materializes it in a space open to the local community. We are an open innovation lab and ecosystem for individuals and organisations to design sustainable solutions to complex urban food, water and waste challenges. The hub encourages creativity, collaboration, experimentation and play through incubating ideas which adapt systems to become increasingly productive and resilient. We create workshops, lectures, experiences and a podcast around the topics of the future of food, materials and energy.

Make Works is a global library for local manufacturing, connecting people who want to make with people who do. Make Works partners with individuals and organisations across the globe who want to run their own open-access directory of manufacturing for their local area. Our partners aren't just people using our platform - they are fellow manufacturing geeks who are passionate about local manufacturing from perspectives including creativity, sustainability, economy. More recently, in 2019, Make Works has been transferred to Fab Lab Barcelona at the The Institute of Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC), and sits within the Distributed Design Platform, funded by Creative Europe and EU funded project CENTRINNO.

Introducing them into having a tangible experience with making, which includes the building of the system, getting to know electronics and mechanics and having the first encounter with coding. Workshops Local workshop about food such as: fermenting, pickling and kombucha as well as planing to make workshops happening around how to build aeroponics including electronics and coding.
