Originally received the opportunity to work as a clinician for ESM. Throughout that time and now I continue to receive wonderful support, education and tools from ESM leadership that provides me the space and team to continue development of the clinical procedures for ESM clinicians contracted at the All for Oxford Resiliency center (managed by Common Ground and funded by the State of Michigan through the Federal Antiterrorism and Emergency Assistance Program). Provide clinical supervision to ESM clinicians and ESM consultants who are contracted at All for Oxford who provide trauma informed support groups, education on trauma to staff (both clinician and non-clinical), members of the community through workshops, and individual therapy to families within the community. Provide supervision to clinical consultant team. This team works within school settings and throughout Oakland county to provide educational workshops. Team also completes screenings for students utilizing evidence-based tools to better support identification of behavioral health needs and connect families to appropraite supports. Work with team to develop new processes for assisting others in becoming able to provide more trauma-informed care in different environments, while providing supports for those providing care. Assist in developing procedures and processes for parent navigator team who has been established to increase support to families within the area due to the effect of COVID and increase in need of behavioral health services. Team helps to support engagement of families within services, provide education, resources, etc. to families allowing better foundational support to families to be able to heal/engage in clinical treatment. Assist in providing supervision to staff providing evidence-based Prime for Life curriculum and groups within the community and schools. Purpose is to prevent and reduce the incidence of drug and alcohol abuse and dependency for ages 13-24. Show less

Mindful Glow recognizes our community’s need for behavioral health education that goes outside the traditional therapeutic setting. Our evidenced-based services are developed to help individuals and families connect how their physical and emotional experiences are connected, by providing basic education, tools, and resources focused on overall wellbeing. Since the Oxford High School shooting, my primary focus has been working within the community to assist with healing through individual therapy, support groups, and advocacy for trauma informed care. I am grateful to be included in strategic planning and trainings with The Office for Victims of Crime Training and Technical Assistance Center. I also utilize my national certification in Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to provide education, tools, and support to individuals, families and community supports. I am passionate in supporting others that are working with mass violence survivors. It is important as clinicians that we recognize vicarious trauma and care for ourselves to continue the work that we do. Mass violence is a long journey and you do not need to walk it alone. Supervision for LLMSW is also available to help support new clinicians not only on required ethical values, but also the best standards and desired outcomes. Mindfulglowllc.com Show less

When working with individuals and families I think it is important for them to know that an event may be part of who you are, but it does not have to define your identity. Show less
