During my time as an MFA candidate at the CMU School of Art, I primarily focused in sound, video, and time-based media. My MFA thesis project "Love in the Ambient Room," on view at the Miller ICA from March 24-April 16, 2023, was an immersive sound installation for a 6.1 surround system and specialized LED lighting. Using the capabilities of spatial audio techniques such as ambisonics and multichannel routing, my project immersed listeners in sites of personal and political significance to queer and diasporic communities in Pittsburgh.
