  Startup Tablelands is a volunteer, community lead organisation focused on enabling Innovation & Entrepreneurship in rural & remote communities. Jessica organises and facilitates the group's monthly lunch and learn workshops, runs social media workshops on the Atherton Tablelands and administers the group's social media handles along with those of her farm and several local community groups. Jessica's volunteer work is driven by her passionate belief in the value of owning your own business and the contribution such businesses can make to rural economies. She is passionate about building an ecosystem on the Tablelands to support and build successful businesses and enable people to have fulfilling careers while living and working in one of the most beautiful parts of the world. In her role as a volunteer, Jessica is integral to delivering programs in Far North Queensland that instill an entrepreneurial mindset and digital skill set and that offer opportunities for her rural community. She currently mentors a number of startups assisting them with all the ins and outs of commencing a new business in regional Australia. She creates and delivers programs using social media to enhance business, community groups and charity outcomes in the local area. Some of the topics Jessica covers in her workshops are: why small business needs social media Facebook for farmers/business/community groups/charities Instagram for business blogging for business/fun social media 101 Twitter basics creating digital content good ideas are not just for creatives rural leaders Jessica also blogs regularly and produces relevant content across a number of digital platforms. She is a qualified chartered accountant, farm wife at Blue Sky Produce, and business owner at Back Paddock Business. In her spare time, Jessica also volunteers as Blogger Team Director for ‘Country to Canberra which is a youth-led non-profit group that empowers young rural women to reach their leadership potential.
