• Conduct research on risk and resilience, child maltreatment, maternal depression, and other issues that impact the well-being of young children and their families. • Co-PI on a grant funded by the Administration for Children and Families' Children's Bureau to examine resilience to child neglect as part of a fifteen state randomized controlled trial study of child welfare involvement of Early Head Start families. • Project Director of a longitudinal randomized controlled trial study funded (RO1) by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to examine child welfare involvement among 3,001 children who enrolled in Early Head Start in the mid 1990s. • Generate written products (research-to-practice briefs, technical papers, compendia) and web-based content, offer staff training, and provide evaluation services for the Office of Head Start’s National Center on Parent, Family, and Community Engagement (NCPFCE), an initiative to promote research-based practices on parent, family and community engagement in Head Start and Early Head Start programs. • Evaluate Brazelton Touchpoints professional development, a relationship-based training model for individuals and organizations working with young children and their families. • Develop and disseminate written products, including empirical papers, book chapters, grant proposals and reports, and research-to-practice briefs on early childhood. • Serve as a member of the Expert Work Group and Technical Work Group for the Early Head Start National Resource Center as a representative of NCPFCE.
