• Personally tasked by the Director of the Polk State Chain of Lakes Collegiate High School with responsibility for instruction design creation and coordination of the “Math Monitoring System” which delivered a supplemental means of offering college math course tutoring to all students. • Under my leadership, the “Math Monitoring System” program had a significant impact in decreasing the high attrition rates in college math classes. • Developed and taught a successful curriculum for the Math for College Readiness course that helped students prepare for college level Algebra math classes. This program yielded a 78% success rate which allowed the participants to pass into Intermediate Algebra after taking the PERT exam. • Researched, developed, and taught an online S.A.T. and A.C.T. preparatory as well as a Discrete Math course which utilized the MOODLE, an online learning software tool, to help students achieve a better understanding of mathematics. • Identified individual student weaknesses in mathematics then developed and implemented individually targeted plans using a combination of differential instruction, guided and independent practice to aid them in obtaining a mastery of the basic Pre-Algebra and Algebra skills. • Based on the previous work done in helping students obtain Algebra mastery, developed and taught a summer course for Algebra II.
