This is a full-time volunteer position working with the training department of the Idaho Youth Ranch. I have been working specifically with Idaho Youth Ranch's residential home, Hays House. Hays House is a short term residential facility for runaway youth or children in-between permeant placements. I am working with the training team to implement a behavior model called Collaborative Problem Solving. I have been trained and certified in Collaborate Tier 1 training and Restorative Practices/Justice. I am also working on helping Idaho Youth Ranch develop a Trauma Informed movement in Idaho by helping get the entire organization trained in Trauma Informed Care. I have been through a Trauma Informed training called HOPE conquers ACE's. This was trained out by the Idaho Children's Trust Fund. Show less

This includes looking over the financials, planning for events and other logistical tasks. This internship has given me the chance to really think outside the box and try new ideas. It gave me good experience at collecting data, being independent, and making sure everything was running smoothly. This plant was located on the Milner-Gooding canal north west of Jerome, Idaho.
