Jesse was brand new to the organization and took over managing testing for a project. He was able to work with little guidance. He is a team player that is committed to getting the job done.

I lead the quality team and overall QA strategy at TenAsys.Implemented from the ground up a testing infrastructure and testing best practices. This consisted of choosing a test management system that met our needs, full automated testing across various lab hosts, and implementation of several processes that helped us always ensure high quality releases. I also brought with me a good understanding of Agile development practices and ushered in several practices such as daily standups and tools such as Trello and Slack to better facilitate communication. When I started at TenAsys, we had a handful of lab hosts and testing was largely manual and irregular. Now, we have over 30 lab hosts, spanning multiple Windows versions and architectures as well as different configurations intended to test specific aspects of our product deployed with our latest TenAsys software each morning. Our extensive test suite is then automatically executed against each host and results are acted upon immediately. Show less

I was brought on at The Standard to ensure the success of two projects with executive-level visibility. These projects were to add much-needed updates and functionality to a component called the Calc Engine. The Calc Engine is responsible for generating insurance rates for The Standard clients and quality was the utmost concern. It was a C++ application, had not been released in years, had no unit test coverage, nor an established regression test bed. My responsibilities were to work across teams to review test plans and ensure our overall strategy was correct, define and report on metrics that provided visibility to the steering committee on quality and defects, as well as acting as the final sign off for quality. The updated calc engine was released 8/27 and after working successfully in production for weeks is considered one of the most successful releases at The Standard. Show less

I’ve had the privilege of leading a talented team of QA that span both Portland and Seattle as well as an offshore team out of Suzhou China. My responsibilities were to manage my team members and lead quality efforts and initiatives. I work closely with the VP Development to define our overall strategy and practices. I represented all things QA as part of the engineering core leadership team.
