Jesse Potter is a great example of how to manage and lead a team of developers and engineers. I started my career in software development as a junior developer under Jesse's leadership and learned so much through Jesse's guidance, which eventually landed me where I am today. I believe a team is strongest when it shares the failures along with the praise, and Jesse understood this by encouraging an environment of efficient and happy developers. The duality of winning a Google sponsored Hackathon together and Jesse's long commitment to making the Specialty's engineering team as cutting edge as possible shows the range of his technical skills, and the imprint of what a leader is to me shows his managerial prowess.

Jesse and I spent a lot of time and effort on rebuilding the team and the software landscape at Specialty’s. We evaluated all the application and put down a three year roadmap to basically rebuild the entire eCommerce platform from scratch. He was instrumental in mentoring and coaching other programmers in the team. Together we built a great team and a great platform with an open API for integration. Jesse worked through all the details and accomplished the three year vision that we first set together. I don’t think we could’ve done it without Jesse. Jess has the engineering knowledge and business acumen to allow him to work across different teams to get things done. He’s a great team player and a great leader to have for any companies. I would love to have the chance to work with Jesse again.

Worked as the primary architect and programmer to build a new MS Access application that integrated OCR software to track billing discrepancies for our clients. We were able to support more clients while reducing auditing staff because of the application. This application increased sales and client retention by generating reports to show clients how much money we were saving them.
