Ronald van Dijk

During his internship Jesse has been a great asset to our programming team. He's been working on our project with great passion and exuberance. Jesse is a quick learner and good problem solver. Besides that he is a very pleasant guy to work with, communicates well, is punctual and diligent. Finally he really showed himself to be a teamplayer, easily connecting with other programmers, designers and artists.

During the internship, I have worked on Age of Wonders 4 with a team of 35 colleagues as a C++ Gameplay Programmer. I was responsible for implementing new gameplay systems and features within the in-house custom engine. I have worked closely together with designers and artists to implement their requested features. I was a major contributor in porting and integrating gameplay interfaces using the Noesis GUI pipeline. I helped with supporting the engine development by extending the Noesis pipeline and writing small command-line programs. I have worked from the office and remotely due to the covid-19 situation.
