We initially hired Jesse to open and manage our west coast retail operations. His ability to work independently and tackle any and all obstacles head-on was immediately apparent; as was his consistently positive ‘can do’ attitude. Given his talents and easy rapport with customers and co-workers it was a seamless transition from retail to wholesale for him as our company grew. It was a pleasure working with Jesse and watching him grow within the company and beyond. A true team player well liked by all his co-workers I believe he would be a valuable addition to any team.

It was a true pleasure working with Jesse Gillingham. Each day I witnessed Jesse lead with passion, creativity and drive. His dedication to our sales team was crucial to building our Timbuk2 B2B channel. Jesse is a team player and his positive attitude and camaraderie was infectious. Jesse took steps beyond his channel to keep the company culture upbeat and positive. We relied on Jesse to build new markets and manage top profile customers within our B2B channel. It was a privilege to work with Jesse.

In 2007 a client of mine wished to explore possible locations for a unique and complex photography shoot in the city of San Francisco and surrounding areas. Jesse was recommended to me and I found myself quickly and throughly informed of the many possibilities that could accommodate our rather difficult requirements. While we opted for another city; I was greatly impressed by the comprehensive evaluation of our options. I very much look forward to utilizing his services in the future.

I orchestrated the identification and analysis of unexplored B2B channel opportunities. Additionally, I guided our high-level accounts through the relationship start-up phase, estimated future revenues, and evaluated the potential for exclusive programs and partnerships. All new accounts during this period landed in the company’s top B2B ranking.

I headed the Sales Operation for a high-fashion start-up that featured locally manufactured product. I inaugurated strategic relationships with first-time partners, as well as ones who had worked with a previous incarnation of company. Additionally, I organized a channel sales framework that added private label, B2B, and corporate sales in addition to retail and drove a shift in sales strategy from a distributor to direct corporate model. Pursuing national, corporate, and specialty retailer accounts for this high-end bag and accessory maker, I also managed our Bay Area corporate accounts. New accounts included Twitter, Visa, Airbnb, and New Relic. We also saw our Whole Foods and Sports Basement presence jump from 10 to 25 locations. Supervising a 20-person outside sales team for US market of this Australian bag and luggage manufacturer, I transitioned our distribution from retail to wholesale. I coordinated with our Australia-based leadership and design team on US strategy and product development. We revitalized inactive domestic accounts through greater sales attention, heightened brand awareness, promotions, and incentives that included a large presence on Zappos and introduction of exclusive Apple designs and products.
