  During my time at NWOSU I achieved many goals including being named the OSTCA Young Teacher of the Year, producing the top collegiate newscast in the state of Oklahoma, and placing in the top ranks for television news according to the Society of Professional Journalists. I taught multiple mass communication production and writing classes, and served as the broadcast media adviser. Beyond serving as an educator to young journalists and leading the television and radio stations, I also served as the Chair of the Communication Department and the Accreditation Liaison Officer for the university.
