I worked with juvenile delinquents to help better them for their futures. The youth live within the facility and are a part of the Mid Atlantic Youth structured treatment. The youth are taught how people should act. The youth are given opportunities to work and complete their high school diploma or GED. We as Youth Service Specialists are in charge of correcting the youth when they misbehave or disrespect other youth and or other staff. Our goal is for the youth to leave the facility a better person than they were when they arrived. If I am able to help only one youth make a brighter future themselves , then I did my part and I will continue to help more youth do the same.

Security Officer

Duties assigned at General Hospital Implement all procedures related to patient confidentiality. Knowledge of all hospital codes required to operate a safe environment including child abduction, and life flight. Skilled in proper procedure for Safe Crisis Management. Work to consistently provide a safe environment for all hospital employees, patients and visitors. Perform prisoner escorts in collaboration with corrections officers for medical testing. Document incident reports; handle blood samples (D.U.I). Duties assigned at Choices Methadone Clinic Stationed strategically to greet and assess patients and visitors upon entry. Handle drug screen tests and ensure accurate packaging for designated pick up. Similar responsibilities as performed at WBGH. Knowledge and adhere to patient confidentiality. Stationed inside the front of premises to greet patients or anyone entering the building. Hand out assigned urinary drug screens to clients and package for Courier for designated pick up. Provide a safe environment for our patients and staff members. Routine building and fire alarm check.

I chose a police department in order to learn as much as possible about policing before I go into the field.
