      • Aug 2005 - Jan 2009

Greater Atlanta Christian School encompasses 23 buildings within an 80 acre campus. With 1800+ students and 300+ faculty and staff, the maintenance of the campus is an immense task. From traffic direction and our fleet of Buses that transport kids to and from school to our Aquatics facility for our State Champion Swim team, GACS Campus Services rises to the challenge to keep the campus clean and in good repair. Daily challenges include any type of facility from our 40 year old buildings to our newest Science annex that includes Solar Panel Systems and a rooftop garden. Learning new systems and repairing old ones to like new condition is a rewarding challenge. Show less

The Norcross Cooperative Ministry is supported by 20+ churches in the North Atlanta area. We also receive support from individuals, business and corporate donors. Simply put, we serve those in need of food, clothing and shelter. We help with immediate needs and then go a step further and try to help clients with the issues that surround poverty. We help with bills, medical issues and job services. These issues can put a client in poverty when compounded on top of each other. We do all of this with the love of Christ. When he said "Love your neighbor as you love yourself" he meant all neighbors. Not just the ones who look like you and talk like you. ALL of them! In todays segmented world we can easily forget "the least of these" in our day to day lives. My only challenge is to find some way to serve others who you do not interact with on a daily basis. Get out and volunteer. If you find yourself in need of a place to go, come to the Co-op we will put you to work serving and fulfilling Christ's message of loving others through service. Show less

During my time as Board Co-President, NCM undertook a massive fundraising effort and we raised $3.8M for the 5 Year Restoring Hope Initiative. A program designed to help those who help themselves and want to break the cycle of poverty. During this time we still saw the 25K+ clients that come to us each year. Providing food, clothing, shelter, homeless prevention, as well as employment and other services. We provide referrals to other non-profits who offer services we do not.
