My work is more focused on the actual interfacing now, done with a Java/WebSphere application and NextGen Mirth Connect. I support transaction processing and data/report storage as well as deployment support for new clients as we build up their interfaces and data needs. Show less

8665 Baypine Road Suite 300, Jax, FL 32256 The Jacksonville office of NTT Data is primarily focused on electronic medical and pharmacy records. My role on the team covers development of new features as well as fixes, based on internal design and client input. I work directly with both sides as needed to ensure requirements are met. Also, I'm able to work on the client-facing web application all the way through to database integration via server-side code. Also, I'm able to work on the client-facing web application all the way through to database integration via server-side code. Along the way I work with our in-house QA department to validate proposed code changes and ensure clean integration with the rest of the codebase. Most everything is done with a mix of Java and JSP pages with Dojo-enhanced Javascript on the client side. The database work is primarily DB2 SQL with some Microsoft SQL and PostgreSQL mixed in. My reports are almost all direct Java assemblies output to PDFs though during development or troubleshooting, I'll use Excel or Access as needed. Show less

Many applications I worked on were related to WebSphere applications, usually interacting with large-volume content repositories used in claims offices across the country. I personally contributed code to provide web-based searches, complex metadata relationships, new format handling, and more. Of all the programming roles I've held, this one was one of the most fulfilling. Unlike my previous positions where I was essentially a solo act, the ECM team worked closely together on code review, Agile and JUnit testing. Each developer worked with the source code control team and the systems teams during code rolls to the production environments. My coding and systems work was not limited to the SOA components though; I rewrote a Visual Basic voice transcription recorder, I performed repository console and server administration, and I pitched in on some other projects for departments like Accounts Payable and Underwriting. 580 W. 8th Street, Jax, FL 32209 When I started as JaxCare’s systems manager, my challenge became apparent: Revamp the SQL Report Server deployment, repair and update the handful of web-based applications currently in use, and streamline I/S operations. I quickly straightened out the MIS analytics by rebuilding and adding reports. And I corrected and upgraded 5 of the ASP.net applications used for member management, profiling and scoring. I quickly straightened out the MIS analytics by rebuilding and adding reports. And I corrected and upgraded 5 of the ASP.net applications used for member management, profiling and scoring. In addition, I created a new application to handle a major assessment rewrite. JaxCare’s final objective was to implement a city-wide electronic Health Record Exchange to promote continuity of care and cost containment. I worked with the vendor and 8 participant organizations’ I/S teams to pave the way for the pilot begun in October of 2007. I offered technical support with interfacing and analytics as well as clinical user training and support. Show less

751 Riverside Ave., Jax, FL 32202 Mission:Health was a partnership between Baptist Health and St. Vincent's Health to provide capitated healthcare services to the region. My role was in analytics, including the monthend reporting which produced the physician payment allotments as dictated by the capitation agreements. Before the program ended I rewrote the analytics to incorporate changes to the model and to greatly reduce runtime.
