I worked mainly in the Children's and Bridal departments, however was often asked to work on all departments, including Ladies and Accessorize. Especially within the bridal department, it was essential to demonstrate upmost professionalism and provide perfect yet tailored customer service. My role at this company shaped my determination, organisation and communication skills. I carried out this work experience for a week within the Town Planning department. My roles involved attending numerous meetings which were mainly centred around planning permission conflicts concerning the construction of housing estates on greenbelt areas. I rotated around many different departments such as Strategic Planning, Regeneration, which involved a visit to Roker Pier to ensure all planning measurements had been adhered to and to deduce which improvements were still required, Planning Policy,Planning, Building Control and Conservation areas and listed buildings. Within each department I attended meetings and created minutes and fully participated in and successfully completed every role I was given.

My work experience took place for a week within this planning department. I carried out a lot of research on the Build to Rent initiative and compiled documents for the company to base their further research on. I was also trusted to research background information and 'need to knows' for upcoming meetings, which involved researching the history and current planning regulations of buildings within Newcastle City Centre. All of this information was effectively compiled and given to all participants within each meeting.
