The Summer Solstice: While in the position of Coordinator for the BYU-I Student Activities Center I had the opportunity to Lead a wonderful group of around 10 students in putting together the Summer Solstice that happens every year. This is an activity that involves a lot of outdoor activities such as kayaking and other watch sports, ziplining, a large scale swing, and more. I was in charge of coming up with the activities we would do, food, making sure it was all safe, and getting the word out through social media and fliers. It was a lot of work and took a lot of delegation. In the end we had around 350 people attend and it was a great time. Karaoke night: I was one of two managers that put together a Karaoke night on campus that involved around 28 contestants and 200 people in attendance. After our spokesman called in sick the night before I had to fill in the last minute and figure out how to get the crowd involved and having a good time on the spot. What it took to carry this out was a lot of organization, finding and delegating to volunteers, sticking to a budget and time frame, figuring out concessions, and getting the word out through social media.
