IPC Health is a not-for-profit community health organization that has 6 locations across Melbourne's West. They offer a range of Health and Wellbeing services including as GP clinics, dental, allied health, family services, aged care, home support programs, social proscribing and social work services. It has been a challenging few years in the health care sector with covid, especially as we an organisation taking on the dynamic world of testing and vaccination programs. As the wellbeing and safety officer for over 500 staff I am honored to support the wellbeing of those that are giving so much to the community. I have been involved in improvement projects such as a duress system, moving inductions to an online format and work safe grant applications to reduce the musculoskeletal injuries in our reception staff. I facilitate the return-to-work process for staff who have been injured and require that little bit of support to get them back into the workplace which aids their recovery time. As the chair the OHS committee I love to support the HSRs in their role and work closely with the facilities team, quality and risk team and love being a part of the brilliant people and culture team. I work really hard to take a proactive approach to wellbeing and safety and recognise as humans that we are whole beings who work best when we are thriving in all areas of life. Show less
