  The role of a security guard is being responsible for the safety of the personnel and property of the client. The majority of the working hours are during the night where I patrol different companies to ensure that no criminal activity is being conducted on the customer’s property. To perform the job correctly you had to have a good eye for detail and spot things others might miss. The tasks varied depending on which company I visited and no company had the same tasks or needs as the next. I had to learn how to act quickly in emergency situations and be able to use first aid and CPR. I also worked independently and had to be able to adapt to changing priorities.

I would still say that the most important part of the job is to make the customers feel welcome, and to do my best to make the customer satisfied.   As an assembler I partially assembled all car models manufactured in the Torslanda factory. Working as an assembler on the factory floor gave me a bigger perspective of how industry works and also how incredibly complex the process of manufacturing really is. Even if I didn’t learn responsibility or independence in my work it taught me teamwork and the importance of doing your job correctly so that your colleagues in their turn can do theirs.
