Ilim Group - International Paper joint venture comapny+Director of Big Bratsk ProjectManaging Engineering, Procurement and Construction activities of the biggest in the world Softwood Pulp Mill. Total Investment Cost $1,3BLN; capacity 700 000 t/year- Managing the team consisting of 3000+ employees (construction, engineering, procurement, check out, commissioning and startup)- Incorporation of a New Line into existing and running Pulp Mill Ilim Group, as the General Contractor and I personally, was responsible for Engineering, Procurement and Construction. The implementation of the Project took 36 months from the Board approval to the production of the first salable ton of market pulp. The implementation time was the best in the history of P&P Industry.. The investment was located in Bratsk in Siberia, which brought additional constrains related to logistics (long delivery time and distance). Another constraint was severe climate with the temperature range from minus 50°C in winter to plus 35°C in summer. I had managed multi-international team consisting of representatives of 9 nations. In spite of culture differences, we were able to create an efficient Team, which was focused on the goal – to accomplish the Project. It was completed successfully.
