Member of the Senior Management team reporting directly to the General Manger at Oakdale Golf and Country Club, maintaining several important positions such as Chair of the Joint Health and Safety Committee, contributor and recording secretary to the House Committee. Lead for several major operational initiatives within the Club. The Club has approximately 1700 members with annual food & beverage revenues of approximately $2.5m. The Club’s operational budget is approximately $9.5 million. Oakdale is a 265 acre family club with 27 holes for golf, several practice facilities, a 90,000 sq. ft. clubhouse building with a fitness centre, a 25 meter pool complete with 3 change rooms and 6 tennis courts. The Club is open year - round and has approximately 125 functions per year. Responsible for maintaining the overall operations of the 90,000 sq. ft. Clubhouse building, providing leadership and direction to the maintenance and facility management personnel, security and pool staff. Providing diligent oversight, optimizing budget effectiveness and maintaining a proficient business continuity plan. Responsible for facilitating and administering the annual staff meeting and training day, along with several team building workshops. Additional responsibilities: •Successfully manage the $1.5 million Clubhouse operational budget •Engender a “service first” orientation that exceeds member expectations •Successfully manage a team of 40+ employees including middle managers and supervisors •Perform various Human Resource functions such as: succession planning, people management, vacation planning, progressive discipline etc. •Develop, present and execute departmental budgets •Manage capital projects and major renovations Show less
