John Geddes
To all hiring managers who are looking for exceptional talent – You want Jeremy Wyatt on your team. Period. As Director of the Innovation Lab for Gannett, I had the pleasure of working directly with Jeremy in developing a philanthropic initiative called Your Town Nashville. He served as the team’s visionary when it came to designing the look and feel of the product’s social outreach, web presence, and marketing collateral. Nearly (perhaps even more) important, was the fact that Jeremy also served as the team’s moral compass. He made sure that we remembered that the team was starting a social movement, intended on supporting small businesses that were giving back to the community, and not necessarily just developing a product. This honest and earnest dedication was infectious, leading to a groundswell of support in the Nashville small business community and, ultimately, public backing by both the President and Publisher of the Tennessean and the Mayor of Nashville. Let’s shift gears for a moment and play a game. When you say a word or phrase, I’ll respond with the first thing that comes to mind. Word/Phrase:
