  I am currently employed as Director of Facilities at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust and can demonstrate a commitment to team and staff development, specialising in ensuring that service delivery, innovation and team morale are utilised to their utmost to ensure that performance and financial targets are achieved, service delivery and patient experience are maintained and developed. QIPP delivery in the current financial year will achieve £1.25M and this has only been achieved by empowering the team and garnering their support to identify schemes and achieve a challenging target. Consistently achieving the highest possible rating for Patient Environment Action Team (PEAT) with a view to sustaining this as the transfer to Patient Led Assessments in the Care Environment (PLACE) develops. Engagement with patients and stakeholders is essential to delivering such success and as this can be demonstrated through regular patient forums, facilities led “open days/events”. Facilities recently participated in the BBC’s Operation Hospital Food with James Martin to demonstrate that real change can be achieved to improve the patient experience by using innovation to change the meal services, produce cost neutral and healthy alternatives. Not only did this event generate positive publicity for the trust but ensured that our patients could participate in service delivery improvement and the facilities and nursing teams were motivated to assist in delivering a real positive outcome.
