I had the pleasure of being taught by Dr Sarkin the course on Transitional Justice and Reconciliation at Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at the Summer School in 2008. Dr Sarkin with his indepth knowledge and invaluable experience of working in transtional justice for several years made the course interesting and enlightening for us students. He teaches with enthusiasm and makes sure all the students are involved in the class. I really enjoyed his course and learnt immensly regarding transtional justice mechanisms and theory through his teaching. Thanks to him I developed an avid interest in the subject and published one paper based on lecture on the Rwandan Genocide and role of the Media.

The class on Comparative Human Rights Law with Professor Sarkin was one of the most challenging and interesting classes I took during my year at KU Leuven. The class was so thought-provoking that I continued to further my studies in this area of law.
