I met Jeremy through a mutual friend. On multiple occasions I found myself drawn to him because of his knowledge of people and his ability to point out a person’s strengths and abilities. Personally, I find this to be both a gift and a community service. The way he intently listens and asks, drawing open ended questions that lead to honesty. That honesty gives the person he’s working with a sense of marketability, heightened sense of skill, and a new found sense of empowerment Jeremy is plain and simple.. SMART. My professional experience with him involves him helping me to change industries totally. And opening my mind to see what my marketable skills were. Once I identified those skills, he helped me focus on what made me happy and what a natural transition would look like if I went into a new field and career that I truly felt I was meant for. After months of putting off the phone call. With my savings quickly decreasing. I called him. And within weeks of our first meeting I had multiple job offers and a renewed confidence in myself. Knowing that I am marketable in a career that has lots of room for growth, is the best feeling. One that everyone should experience. I love seeing his magic continue as he helps others in our community build their confidence, learn their worth, and assist people of color in being offered jobs that they truly deserve! People like Jeremy don’t come around often. Because of him.. my paradigm shifted in the perfect direction. I am thankful and grateful.

I know from supervising Jeremy that he is someone who brings 100% authenticity to his work, to his relationships, and everywhere he goes and to everyone he touches. His realness, and unapologetic genuineness are rare qualities to find in an individual. And are so critical to have in someone who is leading organizational change and DEI work. He is someone who cares deeply about people, about the work, about the importance of the organization living its values, about creating space to advocate for change and other meaningful values that others cared about but didn’t have the courage to stand for. Long before our department brought me on to invest in the organizational culture, and before I brought Jeremy on to my team, Jeremy was embodying good culture, by being a collaborator, the go-to for anyone in a bind who needed support, for embracing each task with eagerness no matter how big or small, how public or private, for the things he got credit for and the things no one even know he touched. He is a very special and talented individual—"a jack or jill of all trades as he likes to say—who is nimble enough to take on any task and see it to completion. If he doesn’t know how to get something done, I’ve witnessed him become an instant expert, deftly learning what he needs to see a project through to its successful completion. He is someone that any company or organization would be lucky to have and he has my highest recommendations.
