∙ I work both independently and with co-workers under little or no supervision to disassemble, repair, rebuild or replace engines, transmissions, suspensions, and chassis. I also perform other duties including but not limited to: extensive troubleshooting, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic repair, light cosmetic work, and the proper disposal of all parts, hardware, and equipment. ∙ I am able to read, understand, and perform assigned duties using technical manuals (TM), SWI, and other SOP's and memoirs to ensure that the vehicles we work on have little to no defects before being shipped to the QA inspectors. Any defects that are noted within the jacket files will be entered in to QCDS and I will work to ensure that they are corrected. ∙ I strive to maintain a safe and clean working environment and join my team in the active participation of the 5S and LEANS programs. ∙ I am also the shops Collateral Duty Safety Officer. I read Star Tips each morning during safety meetings. I am responsible to check all lifting devices, jacks, latters, fire extinguishers, and stands and make sure they are properly maintained. I make daily safety walk through while interacting with co-workers for any safety concerns or suggestions, track them and report them on my monthly DA form 1668. Show less
