Reporting to the CEO and later the CCO I led the marketing and B2C sales functions for Bluestone Home Loans. My role was to rebuild and transform the marketing department into a strategic partner for the business, supporting and enabling lead generation, brand growth and commercial success across broker, borrower, employee and investor audiences. Further into my time at Bluestone I was asked to lead and re-launch Bluestone's B2C Direct channel as an internal start-up. I mentored and developed highly talented, engaged and loyal sales and marketing teams, had ownership of external agency relationships, marketing budget and the marketing technology stack.

I led marketing for System Partners, which was acquired by DXC Technology to be the foundation of a global Salesforce practice. System Partners is a platinum Salesforce partner that provides digital transformation, enterprise-scale solutions, managed services and custom-developed applications within Salesforce – with a strong focus on sophisticated solutions for clients within the financial services industry and government. My role was to bring marketing and storytelling skills to all parts of the sales funnel – including brand activity, lead generation, segmentation, strategic partnerships, go to market and pre-sales engagements.

First as a consultant and then full-time employee I was invited to join Global Red (now Lifecycle Digital) as part of a business transformation and renovation initiative. As Head of Marketing I created the brand, team, products, collateral and marketing activity to drive B2B lead generation, and as Head of Pre Sales Solutions Consulting I was responsible for helping to close each opportunity via solutioning, consulting and relationship sales as well as managing a small business development team.

    • Digital Marketing & Management Consultant
      • Apr 2012 - Jun 2014

As a consultant I was extremely lucky to work with clients across several industries, including a national streetware retail fashion brand, a designer fashion import business, a digital insurance business, a water utility, a news media startup, and an exciting young online retailer. I provided advice on marketing, management, digital infrastructure (CRM, ERP, Marketing), commercial strategy and sales – often with start-ups where I was able to apply the skills I had learnt previously at WineMarket.

In April 2008 Archer Capital (then owners of the Cellarmasters Group) created WineMarket.com.au as a purely online retail competitor within the broader Cellarmasters Group. I was seconded from Cellarmasters to launch WineMarket and to grow it to a break-even profit position. WineMarket was so successful that after four years it was generating $25M in annual revenue, and was a key component in the Cellarmasters Group’s acquisition by Woolworths.
