Much of my work focused on creating/updating ISWCS (Illustrated Standard Work Combination Sheets) used by the manufacturing floor in the 787 and Electro-Mechanical areas of the plant. These ISWCS were a visual and step-by-step process showing how parts are assembled. Throughout my co-op I became exposed to Continuous Improvement and the tools it utilizes by being a member on several CI events. I also gained valuable experience working with NX 5, engineering drawings & specifications, manufacturing orders, production control, and product lifecycle management (TeamCenter).

Quality Engineering Intern

I worked on a few specific projects during my internship. One of them had me working to improve the process used to create one of the company's products by setting up and running a designed experiment. The other had me seeing through the creation and qualification of a measurement fixture used by the measurement technicians. I gained valuable experience in the areas of SPC and data analysis (involving Design of Experiments, ANOVA, excel, Minitab, control charts, etc.).
