Jeremy was instrumental in changing the business approach to IT. He was passionate, supportive, driven and as a result successfully led change to a culture full of constrains. This in turn enabled the business to lay strong foundations for a better, more agile way of thinking and approaching IT strategy.

Jeremy is a rarity in the IT world - a naturally self-aware leader with a clear focus on people and customers who's able to find the right technology to meet business needs. He gets to know his people and is able to put himself in the customer's shoes because he invests time visiting operational sites, which means he's excellent at communicating his vision and quickly clears any blockers to success. An excellent asset to any senior leadership team, Jeremy's positive attitude and aspirations for the IT function are inspiring.

At the request of the CEO, and in addition to continuing to run the Group MIS team, I took responsibility of Mitie's Group Business Applications function. This additional responsibility included the management, development and support of all Back-Office systems as well as core front-line Operational platforms.Amongst the 70 or so applications, special attention and focus was given to our most critical platforms, SAP, IBM's Maximo and a bespoke Client facing Helpdesk. The role included managing demand and supply aspects of the function, ensuring technical product roadmaps and the development of specific SME's for all core products.I was accountable for the strategic outsourcing of the SAP service, leading the RFP selection process and contractual commercial discussions. The scope included the overall running and core development of SAP in line with the product roadmap and growth strategies. Thus, there was an increase in service quality and availability which saw a remarkable 60% reduction in outages and disruption thereby providing the stability and scalability required to enable Mitie to continue the SAP implementation across the business
