These clients range from small single-account environments up to large multi-account and multi-cloud infrastructures. ● I am responsible for monitoring customer accounts for potential performance and security issues that arise using CloudWatch and LogicMonitor. I take quick action to alert the client engineers and often work with them to find the root cause of the issue. ● I perform monthly reviews for each of my customers covering best practices related to security, availability, cost and usage using CloudCheckr CMx and AWS native tools. I review findings with the clients and often implement the recommended changes upon approval. ● I deliver monthly customer service reviews to leadership of each of my customers where I review patterns in alerts and cases for the month and other notable events in their AWS account. ● I take initiative to automate processes that will be repeated. For example I complete a bash script that automates setup of several CIS 3.x Security Best Practice recommendations which apply a set of 14 CloudWatch metrics & alarms. This will save time when new customers are on-boarded or during future security reviews and these alerts are applied as it will take a 2-4 hour process and reduce it to 20-30 minutes. The script will also reduce the possibility for human error while applying these important alerts therefore saving troubleshooting time. ● When asked to build 70 AWS accounts for labs for the company’s tech summit I created a CloudFormation Template to automate the creation of the Terraform server/jump host the students would use in the hands-on labs, Route53 records, underlying network configuration and more I have written Python scripts to increase efficiency and reduce the chance for human error when onboarding new clients. Built a proof of concept migration from on-prem to AWS resources. Successfully tested functionality of Magnolia Lighting’s business management software which had the most strict system requirements. Testing included a terminal server for client application. I was working on auto-scaling the terminal server to save on costs when the project was halted due to non-technical concerns. Currently upgrading our HyperV production hosts to new hardware and redesigning failover and backup/DR strategy to fit desired business model. Upgraded and maintained network equipment consisting of Fortinet firewalls, HPE switches at main campus including VLAN segmentation, Aruba wireless APs and site-to-site VPN access for 3 remote locations.
